DisneylandMickey's House and Meet MickeyJanuary 1993Mickey Mouse's house is, appropriately, the largest in Toon Town. It includes not only the house proper, but also a small (bizarrely indoor) garden, and "Mickey's Movie Barn" in which Mickey films cartoons.
Behind the house is Mickey's Movie Barn, which is both a warehouse for props and a working cartoon studio. The prop warehouse contains easily recognizable props from famous Mickey films, including The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Plane Crazy, The Clock Cleaners, and Keeping Your Juice: a Mosquito Netting Primer (a WWII training film). There's even the makeup prosthesis Mickey wore for Marty. You can also find more obscure items such as the missing question mark from the title of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The filming portion of Mickey's Movie Barn is a little more problematic. We visited dozens of times, and each time Mickey was filming either The Band Concert, Steamboat Willie, or The Sorcerer's Apprentice (which he seems to think is a standalone film). What's up with this? Why is Mickey in a rut of remaking his old classics? Why is he filming Willie in black and white again? Can he really get anything done with people coming in all the time to shake his hand and take pictures? We, unfortunately, don't have answers to any of these questions. Trivia: Although Mickey lives in Toontown, he keeps his money in the Cayman Islands.
