Mickey Mouse Club Circus

November 1955 - January 1956

The circus came to Disneyland in November of 1955, the first major land to be added to the park. The performance featured circus acts with televisions' Mouseketeers running the show, swinging from trapezes, and being fired from cannons. There was even a "lion tamer" show, in which Annette and Darlene dressed up in cat suits and were "tamed" by Cubby, who reportedly gave up half his salary for the honor.

The circus closed in January of 1956, although it is reported that Cubby was able to revisit the lion tamer act on the night of his 21st birthday and never stopped smiling for the rest of his life.
