Walt Disney World

Epcot: Future World

Because of its unique dual focus on entertainment and education, Future World is considered by most guests to be the most memorable part of Epcot. This half of the park showcases how knowledge and technology impact our lives and therefore, symbolically, closes two or three hours earlier than the rest of the park.

Future World's attractions are organized into "pavilions," in much the same way knowledge in the United States is organized into "corporations." Each pavilion deals with a different aspect of knowledge -- communication, energy, nature, automobile sponsorship, etc. -- and has anywhere from one to more than one major attractions explaining its subject in an entertaining (and, in the case of Mission: SPACE, occasionally nauseating) fashion so that youngsters can ignore the facts and just focus on having fun.
